CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Businesswoman Angelica Hizon was inducted as the newest member of Quota International Pampanga during Tuesday’s induction.
District Governor Emilie Simon presided the ceremonies at the City Heights Hotel here.
Quota International of Pampanga president Zelinda Soto said she was particularly impressed with Hizon’s foresight and commitment to Quota Pampanga programs even before she became a member.
She said Hizon even took time from her busy schedule to visit her and ask how she could help with Quota projects here.
“She was very kind and helped us with the Special Education Class of Pampanga High School. She donated a refrigerator and electric fans and even committed to help in the meals of the students for a whole year,” Soto said.
Hizon, for her part, said she will commit herself to the projects of the club and hopes to grow more in terms of understanding socio-civic programs for women and children.
Hizon is the daughter of Pampanga’s best matriarch Lolita Hizon and sister of Bacolor Mayor Jomar Hizon.
“I am very excited joining these wonderful ladies. The programs are very close to my heart and I hope to contribute more to the success of their programs,” Hizon said.
Hizon, who is said to run for a council seat of this capital city in 2013, said she prioritizes livelihood generation for indigent families.
She has been supporting the Pampanga High School’s Special Education Class, also a beneficiary of Quota International of Pampanga programs.
Quota service involves helping the hearing impaired and disadvantaged women and children.
