CANDABA, Pampanga – The municipal health office here distributed medicines for infants and adults Thursday.
According to the beneficiaries, the distribution is timely as most of them have fallen victims to floods, preventing them from working for several days.
“Sa ngayon kung hindi lang talaga kailangan, mas uunahin pa naming bumili ng bigas sa araw araw kaysa sa gamot. Kaya ng malaman naming nagbibigay sila ng libreng gamot ay nag unahan kaming pumunta sa munisipyo,” Marissa Simbulan, a resident here and mother of two said.
Simbulan added that among the prevalent sickness for infants are fever, dry cough, and colds.
The health office also distributed vitamins to strengthen the immune system of the beneficiaries.
Others who likewise availed of the benefits are senior citizens.
Aside from the medicines, they were also given relief goods as part of the continuing efforts of the municipal government to ensure availability of food for flood-stricken residents.
