CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), has put in a total of P2,813,925,000 for the Programang Pantawid at Pantulong Pampamilya (4Ps).
This was said by Governor Lilia Pineda and PSWDO head Beth Baybayin to village chiefs in a meeting at the Executive House at Capitol, where the two officials also assured flood affected residents, especially victims of the recent calamity of cash assistance of up to P10,000 for rehabilitation.
“The P2.8-billion investment in 4Ps for the next five years is intended for the additional 37,519 households who will be enrolled in the program and receiver P15,000 per year,” Baybayin told Sun.Star Pampanga.
The investment is on top of what Capitol has put in -- some P562,785,000 for five years, she added.
Governor Pineda said that affected villagers from Apalit to Sasmuan would not have to worry as the Provincial Government would further complement the DSWD investment with free healthcare from Capitol.
“Upang lalo kaming makatulong sa inyo, ito ay dadagdagan pa natin n gating yellow card o iyung ating Health Access Card kung saan iyung may dengue o biktima ng leptospirosis ay libre sa ating mga ospital. Basta kailangan lahat tayo ay tulong-tulong,” the governor said.
