ANGELES CITY – Police authorities here said they have identified the suspects behind the shooting of transport leader Feliciano ‘Poncing’ Infante.
Infante was shot dead recently by two motorcycle-riding gunmen in the Hausville jeepney terminal in Barangay Pandan, near Marquee Mall in this city.
Station 3 police led by Inspector Romeo Castro said they are already certain of the identities of the killers but cannot divulge their names so as not to antagonize their ongoing pursuit.
The police impounded the motorbike used by the suspects but it yielded no additional information as it was unregistered and the chassis numbers were grinded and erased.
The police is also downplaying the possibility of a political motive, and are pursuing other possible angles -- work related, love triangle, or any of the cases where the late Infante had sued some parties to court. (Fred Villareal)
