Capulong passes away at 73-A A +A

APALIT -- Former Pampanga fourth district Board Member Restituto Capulong passed away Thursday morning due to a lingering illness. He was 73.
Capulong led a colorful career as a former board member from 1992 to 1998 and a recipient of the Pampanga High School Centennial Award for Government Service.
He later assumed posts at the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) serving in different capacities. He served as former CDC president Benigno Ricafort's legal officer and was an ardent supporter of the programs of the Kapampangan Development Foundation.
Capulong is a graduate of the Ateneo Law School, were he was classmates with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's former Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson Ignacio Bunye, former Bureau of Internal Revenue official Jose Mario C. Buñag and Sun.Star Publishing Inc. chairman Jesus Garcia Jr.
Capulong was also a director and corporate secretary of CDC, managing director of Mondragon Leisure Estate (Mimosa) and Officer-In-Charge of CDC Special Project for Resort Operations.
His former law practice includes being the corporate secretary of JCET Resources Mining Corporation and Microminerals Resources Mining Corporation, as well as Director-President of Pampanga III Electric Cooperative (Pelco III).
KDF president Benigno Ricafort said they mourn the death of Capulong, who was a dedicated supporter of KDF's programs. He said the passing of Capulong is a blow to the list of allies of the organization.
"We mourn his death. He was a good supporter of KDF, a good man and a loyal friend," Ricafort told Sun.Star Pampanga.
KDF trustee Sylvia Ordonez remembers Capulong as a "soft spoken man with a big heart."
Capulong's remains lie in state at the St. Louis Memorial Chapels here. His remains will be cremated on Sunday.
