CAMP OLIVAS -- Police believe the so-called Akyat Bahay Gang has struck anew, victimizing a 39-year-old businesswoman from the Golden Subdivision in Barangay Mabiga, Mabalacat City the other night.
In a belated report, victim Winny Ibay, 39, reported to the Mabalacat City Police that her house was robbed.
Ibay told police she left her house with all the windows and doors properly locked. She was surprised when she returned to her house the same afternoon that some of her belongings were missing.
Supposedly taken by the suspects were a Sony Digicam, a portable TV, a tablet, two units of cellphones, imported wine/cigarettes and assorted jewelry.
The suspects managed to gain entry through the victim’s master bedroom by pushing the air-conditioning unit, exposing a gap or opening which they also used as an escape route.
The suspects fled on board an unknown vehicle and are now the subjects of a manhunt operation by the Mabalacat police. (Ric Sapnu)
