CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Governor Lilia Pineda on Monday allowed Capitol employees to go home at 3 p.m. to spend time with their loved ones, in line with family week celebration from September 23 to 29.
With the theme “Ensuring Work-Family Balance,” this year’s 25th commemoration calls for better quality time with family members and spending enough time with wholesome family communication through family activities.
Pineda urged employees to remember to spend time with their loved ones despite busy work schedules.
She said values and character of children and family members are honed through strong family ties and mutual communication only achieved through quality family time.
The event is based on Proclamation 60 that mandates the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga, as lead agency for the Regional Inter-Agency Committee for Filipino Family (RIAC-FF) in celebration of the National Family Week.
The DSWD regional office and other line agencies have set up programs in commemorating this year’s event from honoring model families, family oriented games and programs.
