CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- SM City Pampanga, in cooperation with the Subic Bay Photography Society and Canon Philippines, launched over the weekend a photography exhibit that aims to promote tourism attractions in Central Luzon along with fantastic destinations in Visayas and Mindanao.
The five-panel exhibit, dubbed “Exchange Tourism Through Photography,” features places, historical attractions and festivals in Central Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao captured in film by Filipino photographers. The exhibit was made possible through the help of the Department of Tourism and SM Supermalls.
Subic Bay Photography Society Roy Van Morales said the exhibit aims to attract attention to local tourism and make locals aware of the attractions within the region and around the country that they can tour with friends and family.
SM City Pampanga mall manager Lana Erroba said Kapampangans should take advantage of local travel opportunities and tour the country and the region first before other neighboring countries.
The exhibit was attended by City of San Fernando Tourism officer Ching Pangilinan, Manny Penalosa, and Dennis Amores and Jeremiah Quiawa of Canon Philippines.
SM Pampanga public relations officer Rain Cervantes told Sun.Star that the event is in line with the “My City, My SM” advocacy programs of SM's Marketing Communications Group and Publicity in bringing to the mallgoers the various attractions, sights and sounds and highlights of the communities where SM malls operate.
The exhibit will run until October 14 at the SM City Pampanga Annex 3. The next stop of the exhibit will be in SM City Consolacion in Cebu on October 24 and SM City Davao on November 9.
