ANGELES CITY -- City Administrator Dennis Albert Pamintuan Thursday said there is no truth to the report that the barangays did not receive their real property tax (RPT) shares.
In fact, he said, several barangays received their RPT shares for the month of July and August since Tuesday.
The RPT shares for the month of September are already in process at the City Accounting Office and are set to be released soon, he said.
“This administration always makes sure that RPT shares are given to the barangays on time,” Pamintuan stressed.
‘Delayed’
Pamintuan recalled when they took over in July 2010, it was discovered that former Mayor Francis Nepomuceno failed to release the barangay RPT shares in the months of February to June 2010.
“When Mayor Ed Pamintuan assumed office, he immediately instructed his finance team to release the delayed RPT shares,” he explained.
Pamintuan added all 33 barangays receive their corresponding RPT shares. (Jovi T. de Leon)
