MAGALANG -- Comebacking Senator Migs Zubiri recently lauded Governo Lilia Pineda for fulfilling her promises to Kapampangans and turning into reality her projects especially health programs.
Zubiri graced the inauguration of the birthing clinic and the Gov. Bren Z. Guiao Dialysis Center at the Andres Luciano District Hospital in this town last Tuesday, where he also donated a P1-million dormitory for nurses and medical staff.
“I congratulate Gov. Lilia Pineda and officials of Pampanga for turning into reality these beneficial projects. Kaya hindi ako nagdalawang loob ng mag-offer ako ng tulong kay governor dahil alam ko na she will put the assistance into good use and wisely at that. Ang dami kong kilalang mga governor pero puro bugoy. Iba talaga si Gov. Pineda,” Zubiri said.
He recounted a local official in the Visayas who asked him for assistance for an infrastructure project.
“But what the official did with the P500,000 donation was to buy a pair of tigers for P300,000. Then he built a large P200,000 cage for the tigers. Pang tourist attraction daw. The last time I saw the official, he was asking for assistance again because he said he had no more funds for feeding the tigers which cost P40,000 monthly. Dito sa Pampanga, iba.
You can see very well that resources are used properly and wisely,” narrated Zubiri.
“If ever I make it back to the Senate with my theme song ‘Let Me Try Again,’ I promise to pour in more aide for Pampanga and the administration of Gov. Pineda,” concluded Zubiri. (Jovi T. De Leon)
