Two more birthing clinics to rise in Candaba-A A +A

CANDABA – The tagalong-speaking Kapampangans in this town lauded the Provincial Government for the proposed construction of two more birthing clinics here.
Governor Lilia Pineda the other day assured Candabeños in the Tagalog Region that funds for the projects are available and the construction will start soon.
These clinics will be constructed inside the compound of the municipal town hall extensions in barangays Bahay Pare and Salapungan.
“We are happy about this initiative of Governor Pineda. For so long we have been part of the provincial government of Pampanga but we are not getting much from its health programs. But this time, I am sure pregnant mommies will be glad if the projects will be realized,” Teofilo Silvestre, a resident here stated.
This town is subdivided into three major subdivisions – the Kapampangan Region with eight barangays, the Tagalog Region consisting of 14 barangays and the town proper with 11 barangays.
Most of the time, residents from the Kapampangan Region prefer to go to hospitals in San Miguel, Bulacan for their health needs.
The same is true with those from the Tagalog Region, who go to Baiwag, Bulacan for medical needs because it is closer than the nearest hospital in Pampanga.
“At least ngayon, magkakaroon na ng malapit na hospital na talagang masasabi nating hospital ng mga Kapampangan na ipinagawa ng Kapitolyo,” Silvestre added. (Herbert P. Mapiles)
