CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Governor Lilia Pineda announced over the weekend that the Provincial Government is looking at what the US government did in creating beneficial tourism and recreation projects for native Indians in Fallbrook, California to further develop the Nabuclod Eco-Tourism Park in Floridablanca.
Talking with reporters, the governor said using the US template where American Indians are currently reaping livelihood income and profits from establishments there like casinos and hotels, could very well benefit the thousands of Aetas in Nabuclod who agreed to have the portions of their ancestral domain developed by private investors.
Nabuclod now has competed view decks, zip lines and cable cars that Aetas there derive a living from.
She said current development efforts in Nabuclod are designed to uplift the lives of Aetas in upland villages.
