3,000 Northville folks get birthday blowout

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Some 3,000 residents of Northville 14 in Barangay Calulut here were treated to free food by Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. (third district, Pampanga) as part of his celebration of his 50th birthday Saturday.
Gonzales said he opted to celebrate his birthday with his constituents and forgo the lavish parties to be able to also meet and consult constituents.
The lawmaker celebrated his birthday with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Northville covered court attended by some 3,000 people along with supporters and relatives. Gonzales later led the distribution of food items to residents.
Gonzales also consulted with the people who attended the event and outline much of his existing program to locals who were in need of health and educational assistance.
“My only wish on this day is that I would be able to help more of our constituents in the 3rd District, especially those who have been resettled here a Northville,” Gonzales said, stressing that more projects and programs are set to be implemented here.
Gonzales facilitated the construction of school buildings and other facilities here as well as been supporting the educational needs of students in the resettlement village.
Currently, Gonzales maintains some 27,000 scholars for elementary, high school and college. Gonzales also has scholars for pre-elementary and technical vocational courses through the help of Technical Education and Skills Training Institute. Some of the beneficiaries of the scholarship program come from Northville 14.
