SM holds seminar for special customers

CLARK FREEPORT -- The SM City Clark conducted a series of seminars in a bid to train its employees and tenants on the proper handling of special customers or persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Ana Datu, SM City Clark Mall manager, said the project was implemented in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd) Special Education (Sped).
Datu said the project was designed to provide PWDs necessary assistance so that they will enjoy their stay in the mall.
Datu said resource speakers namely Joana Remo, Sped visual teacher; Jesus Guevarra, hearing impaired teacher; and Melodia Delfin, interpreter and Sped coordinator discussed ways on how to assist and accompany PWDs inside the mall.
Leo Calilung, SM City Clark Building admin officer, briefed participants about the PWD facilities (with signages) inside the mall which include express lanes at supermarkets, fitting rooms at department stores, parking space, PWD outdoor ramps, comfort rooms, elevators, slot for wheelchairs at cinema, and others.
