CAMP OLIVAS -- The most wanted person in the City of San Fernando, believed to be responsible behind the killing of two persons and the wounding of another, was arrested in Ilocos Sur last Monday, reports said.
Senior Superintendent R’Win Pagkalinawan, acting director of Pampanga Provincial Police Office, said the city police, with the coordination of authorities from Abra province, arrested Bendicto Pasiguin in Barangay Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
Pasiguin is one of the suspects in the death of Melanio Salonga, 49, and Mark John Manalese, both of Barangay Sto. Nino, City of San Fernando last August 22, 2009.
Pasiguin and his cohort identified as Alexander Briones, believed to be under influence of liquor, reportedly had a heated argument with the victims in front of a beerhouse in Barangay Sto. Nino. The suspects reportedly shot the victims.
Briones was apprehended by the city police, while Pasiguin reportedly went into hiding in Ilocos Sur after the incident.
Police filed murder and attempted murder case against Pasiguin and Briones. (Ric Sapnu)
