Bam Aquino vows to bring advocacies to Senate

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Senatorial aspirant Bam Aquino said Tuesday he would elevate his prime advocacies to the Senate if given the opportunity by Filipinos this May at the polls.
During his visit to this city Tuesday morning, particularly at the Laus Group of Companies headquarters where he dropped by for interviews at dwRW 95.1 FM and CLTV 36, the President’s nephew and youngest senatorial candidate at 35, told Sun.Star Pampanga that he “would elevate his programs for the youth and micro, small and medium entrepreneurs to a higher level.”

“It is precisely the very reason why I am running for a senatorial seat and involving myself in national politics. For many years, I have been advocating for youth welfare and looking after the development of the entrepreneurial sectors. I believe it’s high time these be included in priority national agenda,” Aquino said.
He added that the creation of jobs, development of micro, small and medium enterprises, topped with education and appropriate training for the youth are “true keys in poverty alleviation.”
“If given the mandate by our people, I would work for national policies governing these advocacies from the barangay level up to administration. We would want these to be people centric and effective, like what we have in serving Filipinos through our HaPinoy program,” said Aquino.
He said that being an Aquino works both to his advantage and disadvantage.
“That is actually the challenge there. I know I have to work for it despite positive results in surveys where I am consistently among the top bets. Still, I would want to send the message that I want to work for and serve the country through the Daang Matuwid of the President. Sa atin, sa Daang Matuwid, Ang Mamamayan ang Bida!” said Aquino.
