CLARK FREEPORT -- To improve the delivery of services to its stakeholders, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) president Arthur P. Tugade said the Board of Directors approved the issuance of business permits valid for three years.

Tugade said the extended period required for the renewal of permits, known as the Certificate of Registration and Tax Exemption (CRTE) or the Registration Certificate (RC), will be a boon to locators who have to renew their permits annually.

The new scheme will start February 1 and will allow the various CDC regulatory departments to be even more effective and efficient in their delivery of services.

Tugade added that all locators certified to be in good standing, as evidenced by proof of current rental payments, and compliance with the state-owned corporation’s regulatory requirements will qualify under the new scheme.

The locators should have no pending civil, criminal, or administrative case filed against them by CDC, as well as proof of employment and actual operations.

Notwithstanding the three-year validity for permits, the CDC will still assess locators’ compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations and may revoke, cancel, or suspend the business permit and corresponding incentives if the said assessment so warrants.

For locators with contract terms of less than three years, they will be issued business permits co-terminus with their lease or sublease agreements.

Tugade advised all locators to renew their lease or sublease agreements 90 days prior to their expiration, and get in touch with the following CDC offices for specific assistance on business permit requirements: Environmental Management Department (EMD) for the Certificate of Environmental Clearance at 499-1138, 599-9000 local 866; Building Utilities Regulatory Department (BURD) for Full Occupancy Permit or Certificate of Annual Inspection at 499-1139, 599-9000 local 724; Health Services Office (HSO) for Sanitary Permits at 599-2138/ 599-6417; Public Safety Department (PSD) for Fire Safety Certificate at 599-2138/3211; Property and Management Department for insurance at 499-1627; and the Customer Service Department (CSD) for Locator Information Sheet and Undertaking, Annual SEC General Information Sheet, Income Tax Return/Audited Financial Statements, and Manpower Report at 499-0894.
