CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Performers from Pampanga province were hailed as the best performers of the "Dunlasangan" or "Dula sa Lansangan" held in Malolos City, Bulacan last January 23, in celebration of the "First Republic of Asia."
The Pampanga delegation, personally selected and appointed by Governor Lilia Pineda, came from Mabalacat City's Arts Council and Carragan Festival headed by erstwhile advocate Jun Magbalot, romping away from their encore performance themed "Laban ng Kapampangan, Laban ng Bayan."
On its third year, the Malolos festival of history featured astounding performances from Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Laguna, and Batangas –- the original eight provinces that started the Philippine revolution against Spanish rule.
"Of course, we are very, very happy. We have so much talent in Pampanga that we should really be proud of. Luid ya ing Kapampangan," Governor Pineda told Sun.Star Pampanga. (Jovi T. De Leon)
