Ex-village leaders hit Lazatin for black prop

ANGELES CITY -- An officer of the organization of former barangay officials has vehemently criticized Representative Carmelo "Tarzan" Lazatin (first district) for "continuously employing black propaganda, lies and deceit."

Pepito Julian, president of the Cooperative of Former Barangay Officials of Angeles City and former chairman of Barangay Mining, said "it is another product of dirty politics Lazatin has employed in desperation over his impending and irreversible defeat come May 13, 2013 mid-term elections."

In a press statement sent to Sun.Star Pampanga, Julian disclosed that all survey results are pointing at Tarzan's biggest political debacle since he first tasted an electoral setback in the early 1980s.

"He again lost during the congressional elections in 1987, but by some hocus-pocus scheme, was declared as the winning candidate. He is a sore and poor loser who could not accept such reality," Julian said.

"Of course, Kagawad (Councilor) William David of Lourdes Northwest will never accept what he and his fellow Tarzan hatchet men are spreading, all of which are purely lies and black propaganda," said Aymer Alvarado, cooperative officer and former chairman of Barangay Sto. Cristo.

"They want Angeleños to accept their accusations as gospel truths. But the reality is that they are spreading deceits through their poison tongues and various forms of black propaganda," he added.

According to him, the 78-year-old Lazatin has been trailing the incumbent mayor by double-digit margins in various surveys conducted last year and early this year.

"Tarzan is so desperate that he does not care even if there is anarchy in the streets. Mas gusto pa niyang magkagulo na lang kaysa matuloy ang eleksyon dahil alam niya na talo na siya ngayon pa lang. Walang gagawing matino kundi ang manira na lang," said John Sladky, a former chairman of Barangay Agapito del Rosario.
