CANDABA -- Local traders here said the completion of the Candaba-San Miguel road is a welcome development and is expected to bolster the town's economy in the coming years.
They said that for so long, Candaba has not achieved so much in terms of economic growth due to its geographic characteristics.
This came as Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials bared plans to finish the remaining 2.5 kilometers of the Candaba-San Miguel road.
DPWH earlier stated that at least P111 million has been allocated for the project.
Candaba-San Miguel road links the Kapampangan region to the town proper and allows agricultural produce from the villages therein to be easily transported to the public market.
Ibig sabihin, mas mura ang produktong mabibili ng tao," another trader here said.
