CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Senatorial bets of Vice President Jejomar Binay’s United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) visited this city before folks at Sitio Trianggulo in Barangay Sto. Niño on Wednesday evening.
San Fernando was the last leg of the sortie as the motorcade moved from Angeles City, Mabalacat and Magalang.
It was the first coalition-organized public meeting of UNA in Luzon after Binay, former President Joseph Estrada and Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile formally endorsed its senatorial line up for the May 13 polls.
The senatorial bets were spearheaded by the Vice President’s daughter Nancy Binay, Tingting Cojuangco, JV Ejercito, Richard Gordon, Gregorio Honasan, Ernesto Maceda, Mitos Magsaysay and Juan Miguel Zubiri.
UNA is a coalition between Binay’s Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) and Estrada’s Partido ng Masang Pilipino.
The sortie here was hosted by party mate vice-mayoralty aspirant Councilor Jimmy Lazatin while the Angeles City leg was led by vice-mayorable Mark Allen Sison.
After presenting their respective platforms, the group thanked Fernandinos for the warm welcome and support.
”We’re so thankful for the support. UNA is very honored and proud to have its assembly here in the City of San Fernando,” they said.
The sortie culminated with a VIP dinner tendered by Lazatin at the Lazatin Heritage House along Consunji Street.
