Firemen get new station

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- San Fernando’s Fire Department received Monday a new, two-storey building, compliments of the City Government.
Both Mayor Oscar Rodriguez and Vice-Mayor Edwin Santiago, who were present during the inauguration of the fire station, said that the new fire station will beef-up the capability of the fire fighters.
Feliciano told Sun.Star Pampanga that the city’s Fire Department currently has nine fully operational fire trucks, which include an aerial ladder and rescue vehicle.
“Complementing that is a pool of capable and well trained staff of 40 fire fighters plus fire aides who are supported by the City Government.
The manpower complement is still insufficient though, considering the high ration of population to every fireman. Still, this new fire station given to us by the city government is a big plus in doing our job of preventing fires and saving lives and properties,” Feliciano said.
