Foundation hosts seminar for livelihood-A A +A

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Kapampangan Development Foundation (KDF) has conducted a seminar on “Organic Swine and Quail Egg Raising” at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) covered court in Barangay Maimpis.
The event is part of the seminar series being hosted by KDF to benefit locals who are looking for affordable livelihood options.
The programs include basic information of livelihood setups and on marketing and selling strategies.
KDF president Benigno Ricafort told Sun.Star Pampanga that the event was participated in by KDF beneficiaries, non-government groups and walk-in participants who would like to learn organic poultry raising.
“We are promoting organic poultry raising, because it is cost-efficient and demands little in terms of capital. Plus the fact that food produced through organic practices is better for people’s health,” Ricafort added.
KDF was established by Kapampangans is an organization that provides development, medical, and social programs for Pampanga.
KDF, with its operations base at the Jose A. Datu Medical Center, has been able to facilitate the distribution of hundreds of leg prosthesis to amputees of Pampanga; provide dozens of reconstructive facial surgeries, and cataract operations to indigents.
