BACOLOR, Pampanga — The Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University (DHVTSU) will be hosting three seminar workshops this June 15 and 22, in partnership with the Kapampangan Development Foundation (KDF), to provide skills training to beneficiaries who are willing to start their own businesses.
KDF president Benigno Ricafort told Sun.Star Pampanga that the event is part of the ongoing livelihood programs of their organization, which promotes livelihood generation through local empowerment of various community sectors.
The upcoming seminars will deal with establishing a BPI-accredited fruit nursery, bee keeping and mushroom cultivation. Interested participants are asked to coordinate with the KDF offices at the Social Action Center of Pampanga in Barangay Maimpis City of San Fernando and the Jose A. Datu Medical Center here.
KDF was established by Kapampangans living outside of Pampanga to provide development, medical, and social programs for Pampanga. KDF, with its operations base at the Jose A. Datu Medical Center, has been able to facilitate the distribution of hundreds of leg prosthesis to amputees of Pampanga; provide dozens of reconstructive facial surgeries, and cataract operations to indigents.
Recently, the KDF hosted Organic Swine and Quail Egg Raising and Food Processing Seminars to local beneficiaries. All of the seminars provided by KDF are free.
KDF will also be hosting a big medical and socio-civic mission in Angeles City this coming July 3 at the Ospital Ning Angeles.
