Body retrieved from house of suspected drug pusher-A A +A

CAMP OLIVAS -- Combined police operatives retrieved the body of a missing man from a septic tank located at one of the houses of a suspected drug pusher who was nabbed over the weekend, police said.
Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police director, identified the suspect as Jesus Herreros Bartolo alias Boy Bartolo, 56, of Purok 7 in Barangay Magsaysay, Guagua town.
Found in a septic tank in his home in Barangay San Roque Dau, Lubao town was the body of Ronel Manalansan, 26, of Barangay San Pedro, Guagua town who was reported missing since July this year.
Albayalde said Bartolo was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Jonel Mercado, executive judge of Regional Trial Court branch 52 of Guagua, on Bartolo's two residences in Barangay Magsaysay, Guagua town and in Barangay San Roque Dau, Lubao.
The police official said combined operatives of the Guagua police, Special Weapons and Action Team and Intelligence branch swooped down on Bartolo's house in Barangay Magsaysay were they confiscated a .45 caliber pistol shooter with magazine, one US automatic carbine with 61 pieces of bullets, a plastic sachet containing shabu, a digital weighing scale and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested was a certain Armand Vista, 38, of Barangay Bancal, Guagua town who was in the house during the time of the raid.
Meantime, a certain Mary Ann Santiago was arrested during the raid of Bartolo's house in Barangay San Roque in Lubao town where police found Manalansan's body. Also confiscated from the said residence was a hand grenade.
Abayalde said Bartolo, Vista and Santiago are presently detained at the Guagua police station for further investigation.
He said Bartolo has been under surveillance for some time by the Guagua police for his alleged illegal drug activities in the town and in nearby towns. (Ric Sapnu)
