CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Friends and ordinary netizens have called on police operatives to bring to justice the suspects behind the death of the Edejer family and three others, who were shot by unidentified armed men in their house at L & S Subdivision in Barangay Telebastagan here last Friday.
Nicolas Edejer, 42, and his wife Corazon, 47 and son Kenneth Nolan, 19, were shot in their residence last Friday, along with three house helpers and a masseuse.
Barely three days after the gruesome murder, "Justice for Edejer Family" -- a community page on Facebook dedicated to the family -- received 23, 000 followers and still growing.
Family and friends of the victims recalled memories and shared photos of the Edejer family.
The Facebook page is filled with overflowing support and calls for justice.
"Ms. Cora Edejer gave the people of Bahay Pag Ibig several kilos of bangus weekly for the last 20 years to keep the abandoned orphans and elderly healthy and fed. Siya pa ang magagalit pang tinatanggi iyon or ihahatid niya mismo sa Bahay PagIbig. May you rest in peace," one user commented.
Others expressed sorrow for 19-year-old Kenneth Nolan who was among the fatalities.
"I may not know this family personally but may have cross (sic) paths with Kenneth. Everybody was sadden (sic) to know what happen (sic) to them," one Ronald Pabustan said.
Social media users also expressed hopes that Nicolas Edejer would survive.
However, the older Edejer passed away Monday at 5 a.m., the Facebook page announced.
Internment for the family is scheduled Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the La Pieta Memorial Park.
