ANGELES CITY -- Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan said Friday that he has given his nod to the P100-million widening of the Pandan Road, which stretches from the rotunda along MacArthur Highway in the vicinity of Barangay Sto. Cristo up to the bridge in Barangay Pulung Maragul.
He said he has met with officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways to iron out "kinks" in the project.
"One concern about the project was that the city mayor was not informed. Some two meters of properties there will also be affected. But we have discussed this, including the compensation for those properties to be affected. We will also meet with homeowners and forge and agreement for the project," Pamintuan said.
He added that the project was bidded out already at P60 million.
"Remaining P40 million, we have agreed, will be for the compensation of affected property owners," Pamintuan said.
