PRO3 awards scholarship grants to dependents-A A +A

CAMP OLIVAS -- Two scholarship grants were awarded to exemplary dependents of the Police Regional Office-3 (PRO3) personnel during Monday's flag raising rites here.
Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, PRO3 director, said the scholarship grant is a program of the PRO3 Scholarship Foundation Incorporated which has been providing financial assistance to intended beneficiaries of PRO3 uniformed and non-uniformed personnel who are on their elementary, high school and college levels.
The recipients of the scholarship grants are Harriet Mae C. Domingo, daughter of Superintendent Maylin Domingo and Marceli Villaflor, daughter of Superintendent Sidney Villaflor.
Petrasanta said the financial support shall be given to the grantees every school year which depends on their academic standing: elementary level- P10,000; high school level- P15,000; and college level- P20,000.
Behind the PRO3 Scholarship Foundation Incorporated are the humanitarian leaders of PRO3 who are in charge of overseeing the programs and initiatives on the awarding of scholarship grants, headed by Chief Superintendent Wendy Rosario, deputy regional director for administration, Chairman; Senior Superintendent Manuel Gearlan, deputy regional director for operations as Vice- Chairman; Senior Superintendent Agripino Javier, regional chief directorate staff, as President; and Supt Flynn Dongbo, chief of regional personnel human resource and doctrine division and other board of trustees.
Both the Officers and the Board of Trustees have been exerting efforts to generate funds from local and international sources to maintain and carry out the programs of the PRO3 SFI.
Educational assistance is a demonstration of the PNP’s support to the welfare of its members and their dependents. (Ric Sapnu)
