CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Some 33 Kapampangan nurses have been certified recently as Community Health Nurses or CHNs and will form “Batch Uno” under the health program of Mayor Edwin Santiago as aligned in his “Fernandino First” advocacy.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Eloisa Aquino, the nurses came from 11 schools across the province and recently completed the two-week community training course in disaster preparedness.
The CHNs, equivalent to former and now Third District Representative Oscar Rodriguez’s OCA Nurses, underwent the training course formulated by the Department of Health and the City Government.
The nurses will be deployed and posted in the city’s 35 barangays and rural health units. (Blessie S. Esguerra/AUF Intern)
