Saturday, October 26, 2013
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Secure and fair barangay elections.
This was the rallying call of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office (PPPO) as it embarked on the tradition early morning unity walk for Secure and Fair Elections or SAFE 2013 starting at the Capitol Compound in this city Saturday.
The PPPO led by Police Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde was joined by representatives from the Commission on Elections, Department of Interior and Local Government, 703rd IB of the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force and students from various schools here.
The objective of the unity walk and SAFE, according to the PPPO, is "to set the right attitude and the right perspective among its men."
SAFE, added Albayalde, wishes to "instill among election stakeholders the significance of the May 28 barangay elections."
"A secure and fair election is everybody's concern," he said.
