Public warned vs ‘bogus’ solicitors-A A +A

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Government here on Monday issued a warning to individuals and institutions here against people who have been allegedly soliciting funds on behalf of the city's Traffic Management Division.
Officer-in-charge Renato Pineda said the division, under the City Administrator's Office, does not engage itself in soliciting money to fund its activities.
"It came to our attention that a bogus solicitation letter is circulating and is asking for donations to fund its activities and raffle prizes," Pineda said.
Pineda said that the bogus signatories in the letters were identified as one Nenita Ayson, Alex Tinio, Teresita Pamintuan, Robely Canles and Brian Yutuc.
Pineda said that the individuals are not in any way connected with their division.
"We were also told that these letters were distributed by people who pretend to be our officers by mimicking our uniforms so as to deceive prospect benefactors. Should you know the whereabouts of the persons mentioned above, you may contact us through telephone number (045) 961-1964 or proceed directly to our office at Dolores Intersection," Pineda said.
Pineda added that the City Government of San Fernando will be taking proper legal for the arrest of the suspects.
