CAMP OLIVAS -- A young businessman was reportedly abducted by two unidentified armed men along MacArthur Highway, Barangay San Agustin, City of San Fernando over the weekend.
Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police director, identified the victim as Jaymart Regala, 21, of Kalayaan Village who reportedly owns the Universal Travel Tours located at Sam's Building in Barangay San Agustin.
According to sketchy reports, two armed men forcibly entered the said establishment and forcibly took Regala, Albayalde said.
Albayalde said the victim was with Anita Catacutan, 50, cashier; Glenda Candia, 21; Adelina Regala, mother of the victim; and Jaycee Regala, 26, when the incident transpired.
The suspect, reports said, were wearing bull caps. They arrived casually, walked inside the establishment and covered their faces with masks. One of them then pulled out a gun and poked it at Regala and company.
The kidnappers then used the victim's white Mitsubishi Montero with conduction sticker BY0848, to flee to an unknown direction, he said.
Albayalde said that a flash alarm was immediately radioed to all police stations in the province and nearby provinces.
As of Monday, he said, a police team has been tracking down the kidnappers and coordinating with the parents of the victim.
It is not known as of this posting if there was already a ransom demand or call from the kidnappers.
