CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Kapampangan Development Foundation (KDF) called on mothers on Sunday to participate in their free workshops this February to enable them to earn money while at home.
The seminars range from farm-based programs to craft production. The seminars and materials will be given by KDF partners for free.
KDF will be hosting a free seminar on bee-keeping on February 1 to 2 at the Benigno Aquino Hall here to give mothers, farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs skills in honey production.
The event is made possible through the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The KDF is encouraging local farmers to participate in the seminar designed to increase agriculture productivity.
KDF president Benigno Ricafort told Sun. Star Pampanga that the event is part of the organization's goal of empowering various community sectors.
“One can earn from backyard bee-keeping or through commercial farms. We are inviting also local farm cooperatives to join us in this activity,” Ricafort said.
Aside from bee-keeping, the other seminars will have to do with establishing a BPI-accredited fruit nursery and mushroom cultivation.
Interested participants are asked to coordinate with the KDF offices at the Social Action Center of Pampanga in Barangay Maimpis City of San Fernando and the Jose A. Datu Medical Center here.
