CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Policewomen and non-uniformed personnel from different stations in Pampanga paraded in the streets here and showcased their full support in the celebration of Women's Month on Tuesday.

The event is in line with this year’s Women’ Month Celebration.

The Pampanga Provincial Police Office also conducted a team building activity for the policewomen earlier in the day at Pampanga Police Headquarters inside the Capitol Compound.

This year’s theme, “Juana, ang Tatag Mo ay Tatag Natin sa Pagbangon at Pagsulong!” pays tribute to the strong and resilient “Juanas” who brought inspiring changes here in the country and across the globe.

“The 2014 Women’s Month Celebration is the best time to highlight the “drivers of change” who untiringly volunteered themselves in times of disaster, conflict, and calamity. This celebration recognized the role of women in the rehabilitation process and their over-all contributions in the process,” the PPO said in a statement.

The team building activity entitled “Laro ng Lahi Para sa Kababaihan” was conducted right after the parade. The goal of the said activity was to promote unity and trust among the personnel/policewomen within the police service.

“Through this activity the policewomen of the Pampanga PPO were given the time to relax as well as have fun,” the PPO added.

During the event, the policewomen were divided into several teams according to their districts. These teams competed to different traditional Filipino games like kadang-kadang, tug of war, sack race among others.
