CENTRAL Luzon is home to prominent names in the entertainment scene such as Lea Salonga, Brillante Mendoza, Vilma Santos, Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo, and Apl de Ap, among others.

But Star Mill believes the region still has an arsenal of talented individuals just waiting to be discovered.

Launched on March 23, 2013, Star Mill is the first of its kind in Central Luzon — reaching talented performers even from far-flung areas, with auditions held in various Robinsons Malls and Supermarkets all over the region.

The competition ignited the dreams of local artists to realize their star potential, unleashing their brilliance, giving them hope and opportunity to uplift the lives of their families.

Star Mill proved to be an unprecedented success for CLTV 36, becoming its most viewed program for 15 weeks. The response of TV audience was overwhelming, garnering more than 120,000 text votes within the four-day voting period. Its live shows attracted thousands of fans all over the region, with an average of 60,000 live audience supporting their favorite contestants during the elimination round, and more than 120,000 spectators during the finals.

The entertainment program is a venue where people can rally behind their hometown artist, even prompting barangay and town officials to offer support to their Star Mill contestants. CLTV36 makes it possible for local talents to reach their dreams and help them to become stars.

Star Mill Season 2 will be more challenging and exciting, as the competition shifts from talent search to a more rigorous hunt for upcoming stars.

The competition

Star Mill: Central Luzon TV 36 Star Search is a reality television star search. The competition aims to discover new local talents all over Central Luzon and provide a venue for them to showcase their skills and make their biggest dreams come true.

The hopefuls will undergo several tests in different categories such as hosting, acting, singing and dancing to enhance their talent, and only the best of the best will be declared Central Luzon's star.

Competition guidelines

The competition is open to any talented individual ages 16 to 24.

Casting tours will be held in the different provinces of Central Luzon, wherein hopefuls will be screened by judges based on star quality, acting talent, and audience impact.

The audition process begins with thousands of hopefuls showcasing their talents and being interviewed by the judges.

The contestants who successfully pass the auditions will proceed to the second round, and the winners will proceed to the next phase. Before the battle rounds, the 10 contestants will participate in road shows all over region (Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Bataan).

Only three will be given the chance to compete in the finals, where the grand winner will be determined.
