ANGELES CITY -- Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Friday arrested Pampanga's seventh most wanted person.
CIDG Pampanga Provincial Officer Police Chief Inspector Heryl Bruno identified the suspect as Chuckwayne Cadag Obisco, 36, of Mabalacat Pampanga.
Bruno said in his report that Cadag is wanted for alleged drug pushing in violation of Republic Act 9165. The suspect, he added, was arrested about 11:20 p.m. in his residence by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Presiding Judge Omar Viola of Branch 57 of the Angeles City Regional Trial Court.
The arrest of the suspect, he said, is part of the CIDG's all-out efforts to fight crime and curb the proliferation of illegal drugs under Oplan Pagtugis.
"The arrest was part of the implementation of Oplan Pagtugis which gives emphasis to the neutralization and arrest of wanted persons in our area of responsibility. The public may be rest assured that the CIDG will not rest until all wanted persons are apprehended as part of our anti-criminality operations," Bruno said.
