CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Governor Lilia Pineda lauded the Laus Group-owned regional network CLTV 36 for its “Star Mill: Central Luzon Star Search,” which hones Kapampangan talents and gives contestants opportunities to be in the big league entertainment scene.
During the Kapampangan contestants’ courtesy call at Capitol on Thursday, Governor Pineda said that CLTV 36’s talent search is an important avenue for aspirants to join the ranks of Central Luzon’s prominent showbiz names like Lea Salonga, Brillante Mendoza, Vilma Santos, Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo, and Apl de Ap.
“Kami sa Provincial Government ay natutuwa na mayroong talent search ang CLTV 36. Ito ay malaking oportunidad sa mga Kapampangan na ipakita ang kanilang galing. Ito ay isang pagkakataon para sa kanila na sumikat baling araw at matulungan ang kanilang pamilya at kapwa Kapampangan,” she said.
The governor also vowed to support the Kapampangan aspirants through further development of their talents.
“We are very much willing to support Kapampangan talents through further talent development and training,” she quipped, telling the contestants to do their best and be role models of their generation.
Launched on March 23, 2013, Star Mill is the first of its kind in Central Luzon — reaching talented performers even from far-flung areas, with auditions held in various Robinsons Malls and Supermarkets all over the region.
Now on its second season, the competition continues to ignite the dreams of local artists to realize their star potential, unleashing their brilliance, giving them hopes and opportunities to uplift the lives of their families. (JTD)
