CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Solar News Channel aired nationwide on Monday a new Kapampangan current affairs program on entertainment, business, international news, technology, and weather reports.

In an attempt to penetrate Central Luzon viewers, the Kapampangan News is a 30-minute newscast, which produces inspiring stories of national and regional relevance.

The news program, which is hosted by former beauty queen Nicolette Henson, airs every Monday-Friday, 1:30 p.m. on the following Solar News Channels: Metro Manila Free TV (9), Sky (14), Destiny (14), Cignal (10), Cablelink (14), Cebu free TV (9), Davao Free TV (9), Zamboanga Free TV (5), Baguio Free TV (12), and Bacolod Free (8).

The Kapampangan News presents custom-made segments such as Siping Bale which features the neighboring Central Luzon provinces; Balita Ka Reng Dyaryu delivers the headline news stories around the region; Amanu presents Kapampangan words along with its English translations; and Dangalan Kapampangan showcases the cultural uniqueness of the province.

The Kapampangan News is not the first local dialect-based program of the Solar News Channel. In 2013, the network also launched Cebuano News, which airs before the Kapampangan News.
