PORAC -- Mayor Condralito dela Cruz and Vice-Mayor Dexter David visited Barangays Pio and Planas here to see how the municipal government can help in the water supply problems of the said barangays.
Both officials met with the barangay leaders yesterday in the hopes of permanently addressing the need for reliable and clean water source.
They said that they would listen to proposals on how to provide better sources of water for local residents.
"We would like to go down to the community level to better address social needs. This is also a way of better coordinating programs with the people in the grassroots level," Dela Cruz said.
Dela Cruz said that his administration will look into impact projects on sustainable water sources with the help of Governor Lilia Pineda to better address the needs of local residents. Dela Cruz also joined David in inspecting pumping stations and facilities in the said barangays.
An efficient water supply system has always been an issue among the town's upland villages and other barangays where water supply is difficult to obtain specially during the dry season.
