Air Force adopts Angeles school

ANGELES CITY--Major units of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in Clark Freeport conducted an outreach program at a primary school at the Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) resettlement center in line with their 69th founding anniversary on July 5.

The feeding program and gift-giving, which benefitted elementary pupils and faculty members, was jointly conducted by the six major PAF units led by the 600th ABW.

Other units include 1st Air Division, Air Force Reserve Command, Air Logistics Command, 410th Maintenance Wing, and the 420th Supply Wing.

Lieutenant Julimar Romero, public information officer of the 600th Air Base Wing, said the Air Force conducted a feeding program, minor repair of the school facilities and donated of sports equipment.

The PAF earlier conducted an outreach program by adopting the Send The Light Foundation orphanage located in Barangay Dapdap at the nearby town of Mabalacat City.

Major General Raul Del Rosario, chairman of the Air Force City in Clark and commander of the First Air Division, led the activity which was spearheaded by the 600th Air Base Wing through its Civil-Military Operations (CMO) office, Romero said.

Some 48 children from the Send the Light Foundation located were brought to the PAF K9 (Canine) Units, Aircraft Park and at the Clark Museum and 4D Theatre.

During a simple program, Del Rosarion said that the PAF is always committed help the Filipino people especially the needy like the orphans.

The PAF personnel donated sports equipment, grocery items, and other gifts to the orphans during the culmination of their outreach program.

Aside from these, hundreds of soldiers participated in the recent bloodletting activity which is also part of their anniversary celebration.

Romero said that the 37,350 cubic centimeters collected from at least 83 soldiers were donated to the Philippine National Red Cross.

The PAF personnel are also set to conduct a tree-planting at the Paradise Ranch at the Sacobia area on June 15, he added.
