CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -– The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Central Luzon is set to recognize this year’s regional winners of the Gawad Parangal for Cooperatives search at the Royce Hotel in Clark Freeport Zone.
CDA Chairman Orlando Ravanera, together with Regional Director Marieta Hwang, will lead the awarding of plaques and prizes to the winners.
“These awards will serve as inspiration to those who in one way or the other are instrumental to the milestones and successes that the cooperative awardees have achieved. Through their efforts and achievements, models are created and their best practices can be replicated by other organizations,” Hwang said.
The CDA chief also said that the search primarily aims to drumbeat public awareness and build social consciousness on the vital role of cooperatives in the attainment of equity, sustainable economic development and social justice.
Categories for the said awarding include Most Outstanding Primary Cooperatives (Micro, Small, Medium and Large Scale), Best Performing Cooperative Federations and Unions, Best Performing LGU Cooperative Development Offices, Best Performing Cooperative Development Councils, and Most Outstanding Cooperative Leaders.
The regional awardees will automatically be Central Luzon’s bets to the national Gawad Parangal, whose winners will be announced soon. (PIA)
