CLARK FREEPORT -- An official of the Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA) has lauded the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Board for manifesting its sincere move for the two entities’ partnership.
CILA Director Jeannie Ng issued the statement after the CDC Board directors were formally introduced during the locators organization’s general membership meeting at the Fiesta Hall of Midori Clark Hotel in this Freeport recently.
“It would be the first time that CDC board of directors was publicly introduced which they consider CILA as a partner for the development of Clark Freeport Zone,” said CILA Director Jeannie Ng.
The CDC Board of Directors is headed by Chairman Jose Ping De Jesus.
Other directors are Francisco Villaromman, Ricardo Baron, Edwin Rodriguez, Ramp Nielsen Uy, Nestor Villaroman Jr., Benjamin Defensor Jr., Ernesto De Vota, BCDA Chairman Gregorio Garcia and BCDA P/CEO Vivencio Dizon and CDC President Noel Manankil.
On behalf of BCDA, CDC AVP for Business Development Rodem R. Perez gave a progress report on the New Clark City which is expected to begin next year.
Among the projects presented are the Sacobia river road network, the National Government Administrative Center, Philippine Sports City, and Food Processing and International Food Market.
Aside from these, the Clark officials also reported the new flights of Cebu Pacific, Philippines Airlines, Wakay Air, AirAsia and Eva Air thus making Clark International Airport the gateway of Northern and Central Luzon.
For the upcoming Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit meetings to be held in Clark in November this year, security measures are already in place, according to Lawyer Ramsey Ocampo, CDC VP for Security Services.
Ocampo said that anti-terrorism and disaster contingencies are being implemented to ensure the safety of the delegates.
