Alejandrino calls for support for Arayeteño Miss Global bet

Monday, November 13, 2017

ARAYAT -- Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino on Monday, November 13, asked Kapampangans to support Arayateño Mary Ann Mungcal who is vying for the Miss Global International 2017 crown.

Mungcal, who hails from Barangay San Nicolas in this town, is representing the Philippines in the international competition to be held in Cambodia.

A frequent beauty pageant aspirant, Mungcal is a Business Administration graduate from the University of the Assumption in the City of San Fernando who majored in Marketing Management.

Alejandrino said that Mungcal now needs the support of her fellow Kapampangans and Filipinos to bring home yet another coveted crown in the international pageantry for the Philippines.

He urged netizens to maximize their online powers and vote for Mungcal in the official pageant website to be able to qualify to the semi-finals round.

“Maliban sa moral support, kailangan ngayon ng ating kabalen ang suporta sa online voting para makapagptuloy siya sa laban. Sana matulungan natin siya at mabigyan natin ng oras ang pagboto sa kanya,” he said.

As of Monday evening, the 21-year-old stunner is at second place in the online voting with 2,910 votes. Indonesia’s representative is ahead with 4,780 votes.

“Ang dalawang libong boto ay hindi maka-Filipino. Tulungan natin ang ating kabalen para isang beses pa ay makasungkit tayo ng korona,” he said.

The Miss Global 2017 will be the fifth edition of the Miss Global pageant and will be held in Cambodia on November 17.

Mungcal will be competing with over 100 beautiful ladies from all over the world for the prestigious title of the oldest running international beauty pageant.
