Porac vice mayor plays ‘Santa’ to JBLRMH cancer patients

Wednesday, December 06, 2017

PORAC town Vice Mayor Dexter David donned his Santa Claus costume the other day and played Santa Claus to cancer patients of Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Hospital (JBLRMH).

David, who hosts yearly Christmas parties for indigents outside his own municipality, said that the 40 children were all diagnosed with varying degrees of cancer.

The vice mayor hosted a Christmas party of children, giving them gifts and treating them to games and other activities. David said that he aimed to help the children in their battle against cancer by providing some sort of emotional support.

David said that Christmas is for children and he wanted to give the children some sort of comfort as they go through their fight.

David also urged people to help these cancer patients this Christmas. He added that companies and well-to-do people who have enough resources to spare should instead help cancer patients at JBLRMH.

“Sa lahat po ng gustong magbigay ng tulong cash or gamot for chemotherapy para sa mga 40 na bata na nakikipaglaban sa sakit na cancer, pwedi po kayong pumunta sa JBLRMH, hanapin lamang si Dr. Stewart,” David said.
