City of San Fernando police net 8 drug suspects

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- In the continuous fight against illegal drugs, local authorities of this capital city arrested eight suspected drug personalities in a week-long series of operations.

Superintendent Roland Agohob, police chief, said Romyvie Briguel, alias Manok/Marvin, was arrested on January 9 in Barangay San Jose here.

Briguel has been categorized as Central Luzon’s second top ranked target drug personality by the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon, and City of San Fernando’s top nine target drug personality and most wanted motorcycle-riding suspect.

Two female drug personalities were likewise arrested by the city police on the same day in a drug bust in Miranda Compound in Barangay Maimpis. Agohob identified them as Niña Vega and Marinel Timbang, both jobless.

Meanwhile, two personalities identified as Jerome Viscayno and Argel Macapagal were arrested on January 3 in Miranda Compound Barangay Quebiawan.

Two more illegal drug suspects were nabbed in Barangay Sta. Lucia on January 4. They were identified as Johnson Regala and Guiller Manabat, while one Michael Palo was nabbed in Barangay Sindalan.

A combined 64 sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were confiscated from the suspects.

Agohob said all suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, while Briguel is facing multiple illegal drugs and robbery charges.
