40 police personnel recognized during PNPs founding anniversary

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Forty police personnel were given recognition for “uplifting” the image of the Philippine National Police during its 27th founding anniversary held at the Camp Olivas headquarters here.

While Governor Lilia Pineda turned-over three vehicles to the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Central Luzon, PNP Aviation and Security Group, Pampanga SWAT and Provincial Mobile Force.

“Please accept the three vehicles that I will give,” the governor said while expressing her continued support to the PNP.

At the same time, she congratulated Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, PRO-Central Luzon director for maintaining peace and order in the different provinces in the region especially Pampanga.

For his part, Corpus thanked the governor for her continued support to the PNP and donating vehicles to the Pampanga police.

Those who were recognized include Police Deputy Regional Director for Administration Chief Superintendent Elmer Bantog, Police Regional Director for Operations Senior Superintendent Ronald Llanera, Regional Directorial Staff Senior Superintendent Romil Mitra, and Chief of the Regional Headquarters and Support Group Senior Superintendent Rolly Mendoza.

Five widows of slain policemen who died in the line of duty also received a P20,000 check from Pineda and cash from Corpus to serve as financial assistance to the bereaved families. (with Ric Sapnu)
