Asean bizmen to hold business forum in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT -- Close to 40 businessmen from all over the region of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will congregate at Clark Freeport here from November 25 to 28 for the JCI Senate Asean 2nd Business Forum.
JCI Senate ASEAN past President Jorge Banal, Sr. told Sun.Star Pampanga that the gathering dubbed “Go Asean, Build Asean Business” will bring together business leaders and corporate decision makers from Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and the Philippines.
“Highlights of this forum would be the business presentations and proposals from Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Philippine Tourism Authority and the also from the Asean member countries,” Banal said, adding that the members would come from the Asean Senate Association.
The Asean Senate Association, which forms part of the JCI Senate Asean, is an organization that brings together JCI Senators in the Asean region for the purposes of fellowship, business and tourism.
The event is expected to bring together local business leaders in the Metro Clark area, Pampanga and nearby towns within the sphere of Clark Freeport. JCI Senate Asean will also hold its 4th and last board meeting for the year on November 27 followed by its Annual General Meeting and Election of its 2011 Board of Directors at the Casino Filipino here.
Banal said that local business leaders can take the opportunity to present local business proposals and develop business prospects with businessmen in the said event. He said that the event also aims to open doors of cooperation and areas of common interest among local and international business leaders.
“Our leaders and even local governments can take this opportunity to streamline or at least open the doors for their products, crafts and services to our fellow Asean businessmen,” Banal said.
The JCI Senate Asean is calling on business and political leaders to take advantage of the upcoming event to promote their respective business strengths.
