CLARK FREEPORT -- Semi-conductor materials or electronics remain to be the top dollar earner of Central Luzon, a group of exporters said.
Randy Viray, president of the PhilExport in Central Luzon, said the electronics industry is still the top dollar earner as it maintains its position as the top export product in the region.
"In terms of merchandise products, electronic materials are still the highest dollar earner in the region even in the whole country," Viray said.
Most of electronic material companies are located in this Freeport. Other companies are at the Subic Bay Freeport.
Viray said other dollar earner businesses in the region include the business process outsourcing like call centers and furniture industries.
"The furniture industry nets about $28 million every year. The semi-conductor industry has more than that," Viray said.
Viray has attended the Free Trade Agreement forum at the Mimosa Convention Center on Tuesday.
The FTA forum sought to find more opportunities for Filipino exporters.
