CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Board member Nestor Tolentino asked the Provincial Board on Tuesday to approve his request for additional P350,000 to fund this year's Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards (Moka).
Tolentino, in Tuesday's session, said the additional allocation will be used for the promotion of said event.

The Board Member said Governor Lilia Pineda is intending to devote a special attention on the Moka as one of the highlights of the Pampanga Day celebrations during the month of December.
"We want to create awareness about the event and we would like our awardees to feel the important with better funding for the many preparations," Tolentino said.
The additional funding will augment the current P650, 000 yearly allocations for the MOKA.
The Moka honors Kapampangans who have made significant service to the community in their respective fields like law enforcement, education, parenthood, sports, business and entrepreneurship, religion, culture and the arts, agriculture, science and technology, mass media, youth service, judicial service and social services.
Another category is the Outstanding Honorary Kapampangan Award, which gives due recognition to individuals who are non-Kapampangan but have rendered outstanding service to communities in Pampanga.
Moka was launched by the Provincial Government in 1978. According to the rules, a Moka nominee must be a Kapampangan by birth and by blood, and must have done something to improve the social and economic well-being of Kapampangans or enhance the reputation of the Kapampangan race.
Tolentino said they will be urging the participation of the local officials, civic leaders and members of non-government organizations in the nomination of awardees this year.
