CWC to invest P3.93-B for projects

CLARK FREEPORT -- The Clark Water Corporation (CWC) said on Monday that it is ready to invest a total of P3.93 billion for several water projects here.

CWC is a member of the Ayala Group. The CWC broadened the scope of its concession deal with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) by 25 years.

NFA execs relieved from posts

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The National Food Authority (NFA) Central Luzon office and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) recently relieved the provincial managers of Pampanga and Bulacan offices after their alleged involvement with rice diversion activities or repacking of NFA rice to be sold as commercial rice.

A Sun.Star Pampanga source identified the provincial managers as Elvira Obaña of NFA Pampanga and Serafin Manalili of NFA Bulacan. The NFA also terminated their assistants Jovi Castillo and Domingo Punongbayan.

DA: No chicken shortage in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) here denied reports of a Pampanga-based national television network that there has been a shortage of chicken supply in Pampanga for the past five years stressing that supply is adequate and enough to meet local demand.

DA regional director Andrew Villacorta told Sun.Star Pampanga that broiler production has in fact increased in the second quarter of this year. Villacorta said that this was even verified by the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS) who even recorded a six percent increase in broiler production.

Simonians urged to support CLUP formulation

600 Bajau families to get houses in Subic

SUBIC, ZAMBALES -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is establishing a housing project in an agricultural village here for at least 600 Badjau families who migrated from Mindanao to the provinces and cities in Central Luzon.

Residents ask village chief to close illegal dumpsite
